What is an ICP?
In the UK, an Independent Connection Provider (ICP) is a company authorised to design, build, and connect new electricity schemes to the existing distribution network, regulated by the Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) and Independent Distribution Network Operators (IDNOs). ICPs offer an alternative to using the DNO for these services, which can provide more competitive pricing and flexibility.
